Weekend Adventure: Granbury Texas Ghost Tours
Here is just another reason to love Granbury Texas. This month is a perfect month to experience the Granbury ghosts and legends tour.
The Granbury to a has been voted one of the top ghost tours in North America where you can hear the legend of the historic Granbury Texas and come face-to-face with the Faceless girl (ironic), Indian Joe, and the Lady in Red.
Where:
The Granbury Ghosts & Legends Tours start at 119 E. Bridge St. in downtown.
When:
Tours are held every Friday and Saturday night at 7 PM and 9:15 PM. Due to the recent COVID issues, they will restrict tour groups to 20 people and it's encouraged to make a reservation. Facemasks are appreciated but not required. The entirety of the tour takes place outside.
What:
Did you know that Granbury Texas is one of the most historic cities in Texas? Even if you have lived here your whole life and have never been on the tour, it's definitely something fun to experience.
Get ready for a spooky night as we explore the legends and ghost stories of Granbury Texas. Your tour guide will tell different stories as you wander through town catching a glimpse of history and from days gone by. You'll meet the Lady in Red, the Faceless Girl, Indian Joe, and maybe even John Wilkes Booth.
The cost is just $10 per person, $7 for children 12 and under. Many tours are already getting filled up, especially in the month of October so make your reservation early.
Is it super scary?
No. This is actually an event for all ages. It's considered very mild on the scary factor and really just a retelling of unique ghost stories with tour guides and reenactments in period costumes. However, it is one of the best in the state… So there's something to that for sure.
In the Texas highways.com travel guide in 2017, there was an article detailing out the tour. So if you want a detailed description of the entire tour, check out ILoveGranburyTX.com
